Thank you for giving me the opportunity to discuss some of the issues around migration poverty and social exclusion in the uk as you can imagine this is a very timely debate for us here in . Social exclusion is a term used to describe a situation in which a person or a group of people resident in a society is excluded from the key activities of the society and is prevented from participation by factors beyond his or her control poverty is associated with most forms of social exclusion. Homelessness bad housing and insecure housing put people at a high risk of social exclusion not only can bad housing be an underlying cause of poor health education and personal development but it can also result in people being excluded from general service provision or more specialist support services. Wales is a diverse country with its own national identity language and multicultural society however wales also has defined issues within the following assignment i plan to look at the impact of poverty discrimination and social exclusion within wales and the role of the social worker in addressing these issues. This findings from the new policy institute analyses the latest data to show trends in work poverty housing and benefits sanctions in wales it looks at measures of low income low pay and other types of disadvantage it then considers what challenges these changes and the summer budget 2015 pose to policy making in wales
